I PARTNER DEL PROGETTO EUROPEO JRCIRCUS IN VISITA AL CEDAC

I partner del progetto europeo JRCircus, finanziato nell’ambito del programma europeo Creative Europe, hanno visitato il CEDAC. I rappresentanti di Circo e Dintorni, Parada e SeaChange Arts si trovavano a Verona presso l’Accademia d’Arte Circense, per le attività previste dal progetto, diversi workshop e le prime selezioni per il cast di JRCircus, il progetto che porterà alla messa in scena di Romeo e Giulietta, due equilibristi, una versione circense del capolavoro di William Shakespeare. Il Direttore Antonio Giarola ha ampiamente illustrato le attività del CEDAC, partendo dalla sua fondazione fino ad oggi; ai visitatori sono stati mostrati libri rari e documenti antichi e illustrati i risultati dei lavori di ricerca del Centro. I partner, dal Regno Unito SeaChange Arts e dalla Romania Parada, erano accompagnati da Alessandro Serena, nella doppia veste di responsabile dell’area ricerca del CEDAC e di direttore artistico del progetto europeo, il cui leader è l’Associazione Circo e Dintorni, da lui stesso presieduta. Già nel mese di dicembre il CEDAC aveva ricevuto la gradita visita di Helmut Grosscurth, Direttore dell’ECA (European Circus Association), altro partner coinvolto nel progetto JRCircus.

THE PARTNERS OF THE EUROPEAN PROJECT JRCIRCUS VISITE CEDAC

The partners of the European project JRCircus, funded under the European programme Creative Europe, visited the CEDAC. The representatives of Circo e Dintorni, Parada and SeaChange Arts were in Verona at the Academy of Circus Arts for the activities foreseen in the project, several workshops and the first selections for the cast of JRCircus, the project that will lead to the creation of the show Romeo and Juliet, two acrobats, a circus version of the masterpiece by William Shakespeare. The director Antonio Giarola widely illustrated the activities of the Centre, starting from its foundation until today; visitors were shown rare books and antique documents and explained the results of the research work of the Centre. The partners, from UK SeaChange Arts and from Romania Parada, were in company of Alessandro Serena, in the double role of head of research of CEDAC and of artistic director of the European project, whose leader is the Association Circus and Surroundings, of which he is president. In December the CEDAC had received an appreciated visit from Helmut Grosscurth, Director of the ECA (European Circus Association), another partner involved in the project JRCircus
