UNIVERSITÀ DI MILANO E CEDAC: UNA COLLABORAZIONE CHE DURA DA SETTE ANNI

Il CEDAC consolida la sua collaborazione con il corso di Storia dello Spettacolo circense di strada (Laurea Magistrale in Scienze dello Spettacolo) dell’Università degli Studi di Milano, collaborazione giunta al settimo anno consecutivo. “Dal cappello del saltimbanco ai bilanci del Cirque du Soleil”, questo è il titolo del corso che prenderà il via il 26 settembre, guidato anche quest’anno dal Professor Alessandro Serena. Unico percorso di studi sul tema in territorio nazionale e tra i pochi in ambito europeo, affronta la storia del circo, le sue discipline, i suoi protagonisti, le sue espressioni artistiche di ieri e di oggi, raccontati e visti “in diretta” in un percorso storico di quaranta ore. 

Ogni anno sono numerosi gli studenti che decidono di frequentare queste lezioni e sempre crescente il numero di coloro che decidono di discutere la propria tesi di Laurea proprio sull’argomento circense. In questa delicata fase, quella dell’elaborato finale, come durante il percorso di studi, il CEDAC mette a disposizione il proprio personale e il ricco repertorio di materiali storico-documentaristici, unico in Italia, a tutti coloro che vogliono intraprendere uno studio mirato in ambito circense.

Dal 2005 ad oggi sono quasi cinquanta le tesi magistrali discusse in questa materia nell’ateneo milanese, tutte conservate presso l’archivio CEDAC, che sfiora i 100 elaborati che hanno visto la luce in territorio nazionale, tutte disponibili alla consultazione e alla stimolazione di approfondimenti ulteriori nei più variegati ambiti espressivi e performativi dell’”universo circo”.

UNIVERSITY OF  MILANO AND CEDAC: A COOPERATION SEVEN YEARS LONG

The CEDAC consolidates its partnership with the course of History of the circus and street performance (Masters Degree in Sciences of Performing Arts) of the University of Milano (Italy), a collaboration came to its seventh consecutive year. "From the tumbler’s history, to the Cirque du Soleil’s budget”, this is the title of the course that will start on 26. September, also this year, under the guide of Professor Alessandro Serena. It’s a unique course of studies on the subject in the national territory and one of the few in Europe, dealing with the circus history, its discipline, its protagonists, its past and actual artistic expressions, chronicled, and viewed "live" in an historical path of forty hours. 

Every year there are many students who decide to attend these lessons and it’s increasing the number of those who decide to discuss their thesis on circus argument. In this delicate phase, the once of the final work, such as during the course of studies, the CEDAC makes available its work team and the rich repertoire of historical documentary materials, unique in Italy, to all those who want to undertake a study aimed at circus.

From 2005 up to today there are almost fifty Master thesis discussed in this matter by the University of Milan, all preserved by the CEDAC’s archive, which processed the 100 final examination papers that have seen the light in the national territory in the past years, all consultable and available to stimulate more insights in the most varied expressive and performative fields of the "circus world".
