IL CEDAC AL MUSEO DEL CIRCO DI STATO BOLSHOI DI SAN PIETROBURGO

Il CEDAC è lieto di annunciare che, a partire dal prossimo luglio 2011, prenderà vita un progetto di collaborazione con il Bolshoi State Circus di San Pietroburgo. Il progetto, in accordo con Mr. Grigory Gaponov, Direttore generale e artistico dell’istituzione ospitante, nasce dalla volontà di ripercorrere l’operato artistico di uno dei più prestigiosi cavallerizzi che l’Italia abbia mai conosciuto, Gaetano Ciniselli, fondatore del più antico e celebre circo stabile russo.

La collaborazione tra il Centro veronese e il Museo del Circo di Stato sovietico è volta a riportare alla luce i programmi, i manifesti, le cronache, le imprese e la vita di Ciniselli in terra russa nel periodo compreso tra il 1877, anno della fondazione del circo omonimo e il 1921 anno dell’emigrazione della famiglia. Per fare ciò la ricerca godrà anche del supporto di alcuni archivi storici di San Pietroburgo e della Biblioteca Nazionale Russa che metteranno a disposizione periodici e documenti fondamentali al fine di ricostruire una storia che si preannuncia molto affascinante, quanto sconosciuta in terra italiana. L’obiettivo finale del lavoro è la pubblicazione di una monografia curata dal Dott. Antonio Giarola e interamente dedicata allo studio dei repertori circensi avvenuti nel periodo di gestione della famiglia italiana.

A coordinare il progetto di ricerca in terra russa sarà la Dott.ssa Valeria Bolganche, per conto del CEDAC, seguirà, accanto alla Direttrice del Museo delle Arti del Circo del Bolshoi, Catherine Shaina, i ritrovamenti dei documenti di interesse tematico. La pubblicazione si preannuncia come l’inizio di una futura collaborazione tra i due importanti archivi di documentazione storico-circense.

The CEDAC is proud to announce that, beginning from the coming July 2011, it will take life a project of collaboration with the Bolshoi Saint Petersburg State Circus. The project, according with Mr. Grigory Gaponov, General and Artistic Director of the hosting institution, is born from the wish to go again along the artistic operates of one of the most prestigious horsemen that Italy has ever known,Gaetano Ciniselli, founder of the most ancient and celebrated Russian Circus building.

The collaboration between the Centre of Verona and the Museum of the Soviet State Circus is directed to bring to light the programs, the bills, the chronicles, the enterprises and the life of Ciniselli in Russian earth during the period included from 1877, year of the foundation of the homonym circus, to 1921 year of the emigration of the family. In order to carry out the plan the research will enjoy also the support of some historical Archives of St. Petersburg and the one of the Russian National Library that will make available the periodicals and important documents with the purpose to reconstruct a history that is preannounced very fascinating, as so still unknown in Italy. 

The final objective of the whole work is the editing of a monograph edited by Dr.Antonio Giarola and entirely devoted to the study of the circus repertoires performed during the period of administration of the Italian family.

The coordinator of the research project in Russia will be Dr. Valeria Bolgan that, on behalf of the CEDAC, will follow, with the cooperation of the Head of the Museum of the Circus Arts of the Bolshoi, Miss Catherine Shaina, the recoveries of the documents of the thematic interest. The publication is the first step towards a future collaboration between the two important historic and circus documentations archives.
