"DIETRO LA SCENA"

MOSTRA DI GRAFICHE ORIGINALI ANTICHE A CURA DEL CEDAC DI VERONA AL FESTIVAL INTERNAZIONALE DEL CIRCO “CITTA’ DI LATINA” 

In occasione delXII° Festival Internazionale del Circo “Città di Latina”, il Centro Educativo di Documentazione delle Arti Circensi organizza come consuetudine un’esposizione mirata a valorizzare il contesto culturale che da sempre avvolge l’Arte circense. Quest’anno, nel foyer del festival,verrà esposta una galleria di immagini grafiche originali per lo più del 1800, che raccontano il mondo del circo da una visuale inconsueta: dietro il rideaudella pista, mentre gli artisti si riposano o si preparano ad entrare; ma anche prove, incidenti e spostamenti da un luogo all’altro. Si tratta di immagini che raccontano la storia di un circo in parte povero, che forse non esiste più, ma che ne esaltano la poesia e la magia.

La mostra, intitolata “Dietro la scena. Fuori dalla pista del Circo, attraverso le immagini di un tempo” è curata da Antonio Giarola e Alessandro Serena, che le hanno scelte tra le migliaia custodite nell’archivio del CEDAC. Nel foyer del festival dal 16 al 19 ottobre.

"BEHIND THE SCENES", AN ORIGINAL EXHIBITION OF ANCIENT GRAPHICS AT "CITTA' DI LATINA" INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS FESTIVAL CURED BY CEDAC IN VERONA

At the 13th "Città di Latina" International Circus Festival, CEDAC organized as usual an exposition focused on the aim to value the cultural context that enrolls Circus art. This year, in the festival's foyer, a gallery of original graphic images, mostly of 1800, will be exposed. They expose the public an unusual circus history: behind the stage Rideau, where the artists take a break and prepare for the entry; also practices, incidents and moving from one place to another. These images tell a story of a kind of "poor circus", which might not exist anymore, but they value its poetry and charm. The exhibition, entitled "Behind the scenes. Outside the circus stage, through the images of other times", in the festival's foyer from October 16 to 19, has been cured by Antonio Giarola and Alessandro Serena, who chose the images among the billions of CEDAC archive.
