PARTECIPAZIONE DEL CEDAC ALLA GIORNATA MONDIALE DEL CIRCO

In occasione dell’ultimo Festival Internazionale di Monte Carlo, la Federazione Mondiale del Circo, con l’alto patrocinio di SAS la Principessa Stephanie, ha indetto per il 17 aprile la “Prima Giornata Mondiale del Circo” al fine di valorizzare l’arte circense nella sua dimensione culturale oltre che per sensibilizzare i media sulla necessità di giungere a normative comuni che disciplinino e tutelino l’attività circense in Europa e nel mondo.

Anche l’Italia ha aderito all’iniziativa attraverso la presenza dell’Ente Nazionale Circhi che chiede ai propri associati di partecipare fattivamente alla Giornata Mondiale aprendo gratuitamente - nel corso della mattinata del 17 aprile - gli zoo annessi ai circhi ed effettuando delle dimostrazioni sull’addestramento degli animali.

In particolare a Verona, sede dell’Ente Nazionale Circhi, dell’Accademia d’Arte Circense e del CEDAC (Centro Educativo di Documentazione delle Arti Circensi) si concentreranno le iniziative principali che con il supporto del Club Amici del Circoprevedono l’apertura con visita guidata dell’Accademia e del CEDAC con proiezioni non stop di video sull’attualità del circo. In particolare, presso lo chapiteau dell’Accademia d’Arte Circense verrà realizzata dal CEDAC un’esposizione dei più bei manifesti che riguardano l’incontro fra il circo e il cinema a dimostrazione di quanto l’arte circense abbia significato e continui a significare per la cultura mondiale.

CEDAC PARTICIPATES AT THE WORLDWIDE CIRCUS DAY

On the occasion of the last Montecarlo Festival, The World's Circus Association, with the high SAS patrocinate, Princess Stephanie, on the 17th of April, announced the first "Worldwide Circus day" in order to value circus art in its cultural dimension and to make the media sensitive about the fact Europe is still missing a common normative, which could regulate and protect circus art in the world. Furthemore, Italy participate at the initiative through the National Circus Association, which asked his associates to take part actively to the event opening freely the zoos of the circuses and demonstrating to public how the animals are trained on the morning of April 17. In Verona - where the National Circus Association, the Circus Academy and CEDAC are located - people will focus on the initiatives of the day with the support of the Friend Circus Club with free visits at the Academy and CEDAC with non-stop projections of videos regarding the contemporaneity of circus. At the Academy chapiteau, CEDAC organised an exposition of the most outstanding cinematographic posters to demonstrate the strong link between circus and cinema and to make everyone understand circus will be always important for global culture.
